No one cares how much you know until they know how much you care!

"All I can strive to be is the absolute best possible version of myself."

My husband, Russ, and I relocated to Jacksonville, NC just two days before Hurricane Bertha made her appearance in July of 1996.  Less than two months later, we were hit with Hurricane Fran.  Russ and I were basically homeless for over twelve weeks going from hotels to staying with friends while searching for somewhere to rent. Moving is stressful by itself; but, moving during the aftermath caused by these two destructive hurricanes gave new definition to the word "stress"!  Russ and I fell in love with the community as we witnessed so many come together to help each other rebuild their homes...and their lives. This combined with the difficulties in finding a home during these unusual circumstances led to my entering a career in real estate in April of 1997.

I take great pride in having many years of experience to share with my clients...and not just in real estate!  After serving six years in the US Marine Corps, I established a career in the mortgage lending industry in Louisville Kentucky.  Four years later, I went to my first and only blind date where I met my wonderful husband who, at that time, was serving with a Marine Tank detachment in Fort Knox, Kentucky.  We were married eight months later on July 4th, 1992 and quickly relocated to Quantico, Virginia.

Russ worked in the Pentagon for awhile when, on September 11, 2001, horrific tragedy hit our country.  The plane that hit the Pentagon stopped just before destroying his office where he just happened to be working in that fateful day.  We have no logical explanation why Russ walked away unscathed; however, after eight years of marriage and being told we would not be able to have children, our daughter, Paige, was conceived on September 14th.  Paige was born on May 14 at 11:14pm.  It is our belief that Paige was the angel that kept her daddy safe that day and then came to join us on Earth.  She is our sunshine, our light, our angel, our heart and together, we're "one love".  Paige taught us that everything is possible.  We learned that miracles do happen even during the ugliest, darkest times.

I believe that it is important and vital to be involved in our community.  How can I tell you what a great place Jacksonville is if I don't know anything about it?  I believe it is important to "Pay it Forward" and give whenever I can and wherever possible.  I joined a team for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in 1998 and eventually became the Event Chair in 2002.  Cancer affects everyone.  One out of three people will hear the words "You have cancer" during their lifetime.  No child should have to experience such a horrible disease nor should any child grow up without one or both of their parents.  I can't change the world, but I can make a difference in mine.  I work hard to make a difference any way I can.  I want to eliminate cancer before Russ, Paige or I become "one of the three".  We've had far too many blessings in our life and its important to give back.

Not only do I understand what its like to be a Marine as well as a Marine spouse having to endure the stress of a move...or a last minute change of your PCS orders (happened to our family MORE than once!); but, I understand all to well the stresses we endure while our loved ones serve in Iraq, Afghanistan and other dangerous areas.  I understand the sleepless nights.  I understand the sudden loss of patience.  I understand how hard it is to focus on moving your family when your heart is in harm's way.  Its important to know that I understand all of this very well.  I have "walked that walk".  I want you to know that I will help you through the entire process.  I've been there and I can help.

I believe continuing education is of vital importance, aligned with a continuing commitment to each client individually. I graduated from the Chamber of Commerce nine-month Leadership Course in 2000 which helped increase my knowledge in Onslow County as well as our state government.  I served as an Ambassador for the Chamber for several years.  I have received awards since 1997 for "Rookie of the Year", Top Producing Agent from 1998-2007, REALTOR of the Year.

Over the years, I have served as on the Board of Directors with the Jacksonville Board of REALTORS(r) for five years and previously served as a secretary.  I recently joined the Salvation Army to help support them in our community. I have served on the Ethics Committee as well.

I live with my husband, Russ; daughter, Paige and Daisy, our Cocker Spaniel. I enjoy singing, laughing, spending time with my family and friends and helping others wherever and whenever possible

We are proud to call Jacksonville our home and find it a great place to raise our daughter!  We welcome you to our area and know you will find Jacksonville a great place to live as well.  Raleigh and Myrtle Beach are just two hours away and the mountains are five.  The beach is right around the corner and Wilmington is less than an hour away.  What a great place to be!

There are aspects of real estate sales that may seem pretty simple. There are many elements of a smooth transaction, however, that are complicated and daunting.  Finding your home or finding a buyer for your home is only part of what I do.  Getting you to the closing table requires a lot of diligence, knowledge and skill.  Your home is typically the largest investment you'll make in your lifetime.  Be sure to trust that investment with someone who truly cares.  I don't sell houses.  I educate you so you may make informed decisions.  I care about YOU and YOUR needs and will always put them first.

I can help you with every aspect of buying or selling your home because I’m experienced, because I’m professional . . .and because I care.
